Police establishes six more Beat Houses

| According to the DIG of Police (Range) Mrs. Kiran Bedi, IPS, a new
scheme of Beat Houses has been introduced in Aizawl to bring police still closer to the people
based on the beat system. Beat Houses will be the residences of the Divisional Police Officers and
they will be available 24 hours for reaching any help. Police assistance registers will be
maintained at these Beat Houses to record the nature of help being asked for.
