Question:
What are the new things that you absorbed
during your stint with the UN?
Anything that would be of particular
use to policing at the grass root level?
Answer:
I have leant more on how to assess, plan,
conceptualize, recruits, deploy, monitor,
mentor, train, appoint, and present better.
But most of all, respect for diversity.
We were reporting to the Security
Council time to time and to nearly 200 member
states. This
was all through addressing the needs of 14
peacekeeping missions in these many countries
in Europe, Asia and Africa.
